Misrule Theatre was formed in 2010 by Jack Murray and Cerian Eiles who met while training as actors and have been working together ever since as actors, directors and practitioners. We create work with joy and playfulness at its core and hope to infect our audiences with our enthusiasm, energy and passions. We hope to treat our audience as intelligent and imaginative individuals who can directly influence and contribute to our performances, and to invite them to share in the development of our productions.

Misrule Theatre strives to find new ways of reaching audiences, and new arenas in which to perform, by being essentially unconstrained by traditional theatre spaces, boundaries and expectations. We aspire to introduce theatre as an everyday occurrence and not as an elite pursuit. We try to create a different way to engage new theatre audiences of all kinds, and attempt to dispel the assumption that theatre is not for everybody.

Our company includes professional actors, dancers, singers and writers with extensive experience in theatre, television, film and opera. Our work is developed through game playing, experimentation and collaboration.
